disABILITIES RESOURCE CENTRE QUEENSTOWN

The disAbilities Resource Centre Queenstown Charitable Trust (DRCQ) is a voluntary not-for-profit organisation that began in December 2007.  Our Centre is situated at the Gorge Road Retail Centre in beautiful Queenstown, New Zealand.

DRC Queenstown receives enquiries from people needing information to access the resources they require, to be able to participate in their communities.  We also provide adaptive equipment and products to make day to day life easier to manage.

We are well supported by the communities we serve and aim to establish a reputation for providing top quality services to people living in or visiting the Queenstown area.

ACCESSIBLE MAP

We are pleased to announce the launch of our Accessible Wakatipu Map. Call into our Centre to pick up a copy of this invaluable resource. Accessible toilets, parking and street gradients are all on the Map which includes Queenstown, Frankton and Arrowtown. Thanks to every one who has contributed their time and effort, donations and sponsorship. Our particular thanks go to Map designer Toby Eglesfield whose attention to detail and artistic flair has made the Map both attractive and practical.

You can download a copy of the Map HERE

Funding

DRC Queenstown is supported by Grants received from Community Funders and donations from our service users.

Our major supporters are the Central Lakes Trust, Community Trust of Southland and Lottery NZ.  We are very grateful to these funders for their 'helping hand'.
